DD Smart Chick (Amber)

Amber came to us in late 2015, already in-foal, from some friends at nearby Pitchfork Valley Ranch, and is a real career broodmare.  She was never broke to ride, but she takes her job as broodmare very seriously, and could be described as a real professional. She is polite to handle, can be pasture-bred or AI'd, and allows anyone to handle her foals.  Amber is a gorgeous mare with a body built to last - she has had numerous foals, and her topline never falls!  In fact, she looks much younger than her years.

She has an all-cutting pedigree, with Doc's Hickory, Colonel Freckles, Doc Bar and Classy Little Lena all on the face of her papers.  Her foals have been used in team roping, penning, trail riding and barrels.

Her 2016 foal, not of our own breeding, was a super-intelligent and friendly palomino colt.  We sold him to a friend in Sedgewick, AB who is currently starting to show him in AQHA Ranch Pleasure, English and Trail classes.

In 2017, Amber had a stunning dun filly by Dun It Ok, a grandson on Hollywood Dun It standing at and owned by Fleetwood Farms Quarter Horses.  She has sold to Leigh Bilsky of Hinton, AB, and will be a ranch and trail horse.

In 2020, we got a colt out of Amber by our own stallion Jager.  Sundancer is a genuine pleasure to love up on, train, and just be around.  He also sold to our friend in Sedgewick, AB.

Amber's 2023 is a chestnut filly, also by our herd stallion Jager.  Chopper has the same pristine clean legs that this cross always produces, and is built like a brick house.  She can be found on our sales page.

Amber is tested 5-panel N/N
